American Diplomat Found Dead in Yangon; Thai Woman Detained ရန်ကုန်မြို့တွင် အမေရိကန် သံတမန်တစ်ဦး သေဆုံးနေသည်ကို တွေ့ရှိ၊ ထိုင်းအမျိုးသမီးတစ်ဦးကို ဖမ်းဆီးထိန်းသိမ်းထား

An American diplomat was found dead  in Myanmar's largest city, Yangon. 

 မြန်မာနိုင်ငံရဲ့ အကြီးဆုံးမြို့ဖြစ်တဲ့ ရန်ကုန်မြို့မှာ အမေရိကန် သံတမန်တစ်ဦး သေဆုံးနေတာကို တွေ့ရှိရကြောင်း  အမေရိကန် နိုင်ငံခြားရေးဝန်ကြီးဌာနက ပြောကြားလိုက်ပါတယ်။ 

 

The U.S. State Department confirmed the death of a government employee  assigned to the embassy in Yangon. 

   ရန်ကုန်မြို့ရှိ အမေရိကန်သံရုံးမှာ တာဝန်ကျနေတဲ့  အမေရိကန်အစိုးရ ဝန်ထမ်းတစ်ဦး သေဆုံးသွားတာ မှန်ကန်

ကြောင်း  ဝါရှင်တန် နိုင်ငံခြားရေးဝန်ကြီးဌာနက အတည်ပြုခဲ့ပေမဲ့ အသေးစိတ် အချက်အလက်တွေကိုတော့ ထုတ်ပြန်ခြင်း မရှိပါဘူး။ 

Diplomatic sources say  the man was found dead // at the Sakura Residence and Hotel. 

    သံတမန်အသိုင်းအဝိုင်းရဲ့ ပြောကြားချက်အရ  အဆိုပါ အမေရိကန်သံတမန်ဟာ လွန်ခဲ့တဲ့ နှစ်ပတ်ခန့်က အမေရိကန်သံရုံးနဲ့ တစ်မိုင်ခန့်အကွာမှာရှိတဲ့  ဆာကူရာ ရီဇီဒန့်စ် ဟိုတယ်မှာ သေဆုံးနေတာကို တွေ့ရှိခဲ့တာ ဖြစ်ပါတယ်။ 

 Local police are treating the case  as a possible homicide  and have detained a Thai woman. 

   လက်ရှိမှာတော့ စစ်အုပ်စုလက်အောက်ခံ ရဲတပ်ဖွဲ့က ဒီဖြစ်စဉ်ကို  လူသတ်မှု ဖြစ်နိုင်ခြေအဖြစ် သတ်မှတ်ပြီး စုံစမ်းစစ်ဆေးနေကာ  အမှုနဲ့ ဆက်စပ်ပြီး ထိုင်းအမျိုးသမီးတစ်ဦးကို ဖမ်းဆီးထိန်းသိမ်းထားပါတယ်။ 

 Both the hotel management and the military junta's local police have refused to comment on the case. 

   ဒီကိစ္စနဲ့ ပတ်သက်ပြီး ဆာကူရာဟိုတယ် မန်နေဂျာအပြင် သက်ဆိုင်ရာ နယ်မြေခံ စစ်အုပ်စုရဲ့ ရဲတပ်ဖွဲ့ဝင်တွေကလည်း သတင်းထောက်တွေရဲ့ မေးမြန်းမှုကို တစ်စုံတစ်ရာ ဖြေကြားဖို့ ငြင်းဆန်ခဲ့ကြပါတယ်။ 

 

 The Thai Embassy in Yangon  has also declined to provide any details  about consular support for the suspect. 

  

 တစ်ချိန်တည်းမှာပဲ ရန်ကုန်မြို့ ထိုင်းသံရုံးနဲ့ ထိုင်းနိုင်ငံခြားရေးဝန်ကြီးဌာနကလည်း ဖမ်းဆီးခံထားရတဲ့ သံသယရှိသူ အမျိုးသမီးအတွက် သံတမန်ဆိုင်ရာ ကူညီပံ့ပိုးမှုတွေ ပေး၊ မပေးဆိုတာကို ထုတ်ဖော်ပြောဆိုခြင်း မရှိသေးပါဘူး။ 

Media and diplomatic observers state that this incident highlights the deteriorating security  and breakdown of law and order  under the military junta in Myanmar. 

မီဒီယာနဲ့ နိုင်ငံတကာ သံတမန်ရေးရာ စောင့်ကြည့်

လေ့လာသူတွေကတော့ ဒီဖြစ်ရပ်ဟာ လက်ရှိ မြန်မာနိုင်ငံအတွင်းမှာ စစ်ကောင်စီရဲ့ အောက်ခြေ လုံခြုံရေးနဲ့  တရားဥပဒေစိုးမိုးမှု လုံးဝယိုယွင်းလာတာကို  မီးမောင်းထိုးပြနေတယ်လို့ သုံးသပ်ကြပါတယ်။ 

 They also criticize the regime's culture of secrecy, noting the lack of transparency  even in a high-profile  international case. 

 ဒါ့အပြင် သတင်းအချက်အလက်တွေကို စစ်အုပ်စြဘက်က အမြဲတမ်း ဖုံးကွယ်လေ့ရှိတာကြောင့်  နိုင်ငံတကာ သံတမန်တစ်ဦး သေဆုံးမှုလို အရေးကြီးတဲ့ အမှုမျိုးမှာတောင် ပွင့်လင်းမြင်သာမှု မရှိဘဲ သတင်းမှောင်ချထားဖို့ ကြိုးစားနေတာ ဖြစ်တယ်လို့ ဝေဖန်ထောက်ပြထားပါတယ်။
